Frequently Asked Question
If you have a DBT file containing graphics created from QuickTac or Pentronics it may not print correctly on a VP embosser. These graphics are essentially ASCII graphics using braille cells. To render correctly there should be no vertical or horizontal spaces between the cells. Duxbury has had the ability to add these graphics since version 11.1 but up through version 12.6 they did not emboss correctly on VP embossers because character positioning was not controlled and vertical and horizontal spacing was inserted between cells.
A patch has been released for DBT 12.6 to fix the problem. Please replace dxemb.dll in the Duxbury installation folder with the version attached to this article.
