Load a custom braille table on to a VP Elite or VP Premier embosser

The Elite and Premier come pre-loaded with many different braille translation tables. In some instances it may be necessary to upload new, or updated, braille translation tables to support 3rd party applications and devices. Loading a new braille translation table is easy, to add a custom braille translation table follow the steps below:
 
  1. Connect the VP Elite or VP Premier locally to your computer using USB. 
  2. Open the Driver Properties window, the steps change depending upon which version of windows you are using.
  3. Windows XP:

    • Click on the Start Menu
    • Click on Control panel.
    • Double Click on Printers and Faxes
    • Locate your ViewPlus embosser, right click on it and select Properties.

    Windows Vista:

    • Click on the Windows Button.
    • Click on the Printers and Devices.
    • Locate your ViewPlus embosser, right click on it and select Printer Properties.

    Windows 7, 8, & 8.1:

    • Click on the Windows Button.
    • Click on the Devices and Printers.
    • Locate your ViewPlus embosser, right click on it and select Printer Properties.
  4. Select the Legacy Settings tab then Select Download Custom Braille Table.
  5. Select Browse and navigate to your local drive (C:\Program Files\ViewPlus\Tiger\Common) to view the braille tables to choose from.
  6. Choose the braille table you would like to use, select OPEN and then OK.
  7. Once you have loaded a braille table you will be able to print from your 3rd party application or device.
