Frequently Asked Question

Updating the firmware on an Embraille embosser is very simple, but it is a bit different from our other embossers.  Please use the following procedure:

1. Click here to download the latest firmware update package.  You will receive a .zip file, which you should open.  It contains one executable file, which you should copy to your desktop or another handy location.
2. Ensure your printer is connected via USB to your PC and turn it on while holding down all 4 panel buttons. This puts the embosser in "Bootloader Mode".
3. Run the executable file you saved in step 1. You will see a drop down menu.
4. Select your attached printer from the drop down menu. Then select “Start Download”. You will see a progress bar on the interface of the firmware update package.
5. Once the firmware update is complete, close the firmware update program. 
6. Power your printer off & on to restart it in normal operation mode.
