Frequently Asked Question

To change the "Primary Emboss Head" on a ViewPlus Premier or Elite embosser you must first have the embosser turned on, connected to the computer, and have the latest version of the ViewPlus Printer Driver installed. To download the latest version of the ViewPlus Printer Driver please find the download link on this page: http://downloads.viewplus.com/drivers/elite-premier/, and then continue through the installation process. 

Windows XP

1. Locate the embosser in the Printers & Faxes window, right click on the embosser and select Properties.
   
2. Click on the Service tab inside the properties window. 
   
3. Click on the Check Embosser Usage... button to open the Embosser Usage window.
   
4. Use the radio buttons to Select the desired Primary Carriage and then click the OK button to accept the settings. Your embosser should beep to confirm the setting change. 
5. Click OK again to close the Driver Properties window.

Windows Vista / 7 / 8 

1. Locate the embosser in the Devices and Printers window, right click on the embosser and select Printer properties.
   
2. Click on the Service tab inside the properties window.
   
3. Click on the Check Embosser Usage... button to open the Embosser Usage window.
   
4. Use the radio buttons to Select the desired Primary Carriage and then click the OK button to accept the settings. Your embosser should beep to confirm the setting change.
5. Click OK again to close the Driver Properties window.
